Topologically: always have been.
Viceversa@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 7d
No, topologically there's no such thing as "in a cup".

I often drink out of discs.why else would they call them saucers?
Viceversa@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 6d
Akcschually
You drink from the top of a disc. Even if that is a saucer
Antares@fedinsfw.app · 2 pts · 6d
Oh I'm sorry, i didn't realize your deficit. It must be difficult, a lifetime being unable to use the inside of an infinitely thin shell.
sicarius@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 7d
Sounds like Wonko's Asylum
Entertainmeonly@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 7d
This was my first thought exactly. Adams was truly ahead of the curve.

My balls are in the microplastics.
bonesawmcl@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 7d
You inverted your balls?
henfredemars@infosec.pub · 4 pts · 6d
Careful! You’re pinching it infinitely tight.

It's amazing how every now and again, some how, some way, that video finds its way back into my life.
FishFace@piefed.social · 2 pts · 7d
Are they in the pee too?
Kolanaki@pawb.social · 14 pts · 7d
But is it half empty or half full?
WereCat@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 7d
It’s halfway submerged
Antares@fedinsfw.app · 2 pts · 7d
It's fully half, or no half?
Noite_Etion@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 7d

Nestle is currently mobilizing their lawyers.
hedge_lord@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 7d
If I do this with two cups and then stack them such that one cup is "inside" of the other, then the cup is inside of the cup that it is outside of.
Zwiebel@feddit.org · 3 pts · 7d
One of the sides vanishes, you're left with only inside
Antares@fedinsfw.app · 2 pts · 7d
You're reaching the limit of my patience.
wador@lemmy.zip · 8 pts · 7d
Sometimes I put my underwear on inside out. I love the feeling of having the whole world in them.
WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 7d

synapse1278@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 7d
The whole world, except you.
mavu@discuss.tchncs.de · 7 pts · 6d
YOU UNDO THAT RIGHT NOW! I DO NOT CONSENT TO BE IN THE CUP!
nialv7@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 7d
but a cup doesn't have an inside and an outside anyways. nothing is "in" the cup to begin with.
otter@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 7d
While I still don't really understand it, topological equivalence?

Guys, we're all in this together, OK?
Tiral@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 6d
Fun fact. If you tell Alexa you got a present from your friend that's a cup, but the opening is upside down. She can't figure out you just have it upside down. They'll tell you to try filling it upside down and it's a trick cup ect.
Waraugh@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 6d
How can an opening be upside down? That doesn’t make any sense.
Danarchy@lemmy.nz · 3 pts · 7d
You are drinking me flavuored air juice
IhaveCrabs111@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 6d
