There's no way Starmer pulls us into this war, given the current political climate in the UK.

Clearly that is doing more than just saying they "may have interest". It is expressing a desire for them to on his part. Any US-aligned ships which go into the strait of Hormuz without Iran's blessing will probably be hit by a bunch of drones and sunk. The US wants their puppet states to act as bullet sponges so that fewer Americans die.
Doubtful. But they probably can't send more without officially having to declared a war. Which Trump alone can't do. So they are asking other nations to come save him from his own domestic misconduct.
Why wouldn't he be able to send more warships? AFAIK the only legal limit imposed on the Presidency is a 60 day limit on how long they can deploy troops without declaring a war. However, this has been mostly ignored by US Presidents since the law was passed decades ago. The only part of that law they do follow is notifying Congress.
I honestly don't know. I can't say I'm an expert, it was more of an educated guess. Maybe it's difficult to justify sending more seeing as they've already declared victory...
But they probably can’t send more without officially having to declared a war.
There is no mechanism to enforce that, besides impeachment. And there are no guidelines in the Constitution about what the threshold is for declaring war.
There's the War Powers Act, but that only matters if Congress attempts to enforce it.

But I sincerely hope nobody will come to the aid of USA in this. They made the mess together with Israel without consulting allies, and they need to clean it up themselves.
If they had consulted allies, I am pretty sure they would have been told unanimously to NOT attack Iran. They even had a clear deal on the nuclear thing, that Iran would stop completely to produce enriched uranium, not just for nuclear bombs, but stop COMPLETELY! Then Israel and USA attacked!!

Well yeah; if that agreement had gone through, Israel and the US would have lost all leverage over Iran. They had to stop it at any cost.

We have 6 modern destroyers, 4-5 of which are pretty much permanently in docks awaiting overdue parts maintenance. Scuttlebutt is that we have ammo to roughly half load one... Though that could be a bit out of date now but still, it's shocking

Any US-aligned ships which go into the strait of Hormuz without Iran's blessing will probably be hit by a bunch of drones and sunk. The US wants their puppet states to act as bullet sponges so that fewer Americans die.

Why wouldn't he be able to send more warships? AFAIK the only legal limit imposed on the Presidency is a 60 day limit on how long they can deploy troops without declaring a war. However, this has been mostly ignored by US Presidents since the law was passed decades ago. The only part of that law they do follow is notifying Congress.

There is no mechanism to enforce that, besides impeachment. And there are no guidelines in the Constitution about what the threshold is for declaring war.
There's the War Powers Act, but that only matters if Congress attempts to enforce it.

Kind of a toss up, Iran spends more money and has more troops counting reservists. Pakistan has nukes and more naval and air units but Iran has more modern drone capabilities.
Plus Pakistan is considered a non-nato ally so bringing it up is nonsensical.
