as I've gotten older I've come to realize almost anything is almost impossible to prove, drugs, bombs, blood splatter, ballistics... it's all just horse shit
The article mentions they aren't necessarily wrong, they just aren't finding a stash. Aka, wipe your coke nose off with your sleeve, dog smells it on the sleeve, doesn't mean you still have a bag of coke on you. Aka no drugs "found" but the dog isn't wrong who had coke on them
There's plenty of articles debunking this. Other articles make it more clear, that the dogs are responding to their handlers intuitions, in order to make them happy and get treats.
That there "was once drugs in the area in the past some time" or else where at the rave/nightclub/house party, so residual odor claims can be made." isn't the same as confirming that's what the dog was picking up on.
I mean they probably wouldn't by choice, of they were able to operate a can opener I bet it'd be a different story. History has shown humans will eat a corpse rather than starve to death too.
What are you basing this on? Because everything I'm finding online says the opposite, that cats only start to eat their owner once other food sources are exhausted and they're in danger of starving.

That’s probably because they used all your drugs

Drug sniffing dogs don't really work in most cases. They're mainly responding to cues from their handlers.

That's also not what's said.

You're falling for cop-logic.
Here's more studies on it. It's widely debunked.

I think the biggest truth that goes unsaid is that cops use sniffer dogs the same way they use lie detectors - as a means of pressuring suspects.

Well, if you like your food warm, and don't know how to operate a microwave, your options are kind of sparse.

And? I'm cool with that.
Jhex@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 10d
do you have big plans with your corpse after you die?
prettybunnys@piefed.social · 1 pts · 10d
Cats usually starve or escape, unfortunately.
Dogs will eat your face.
Ask your local EMT 🤢

Cats would rat you out on a whim if they had the skills.
PRIMEcavitationfetishist@quokk.au · 6 pts · 10d
They do have the skills. We can prove it.
And they don't rat. Cats don't snitch.
Unless you mean 'hunt you like a rat and murder you with alarming sadism'. Large cats will do this. They're adorable.
YaksDC@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 10d
