definitely the latter, but not in bed 'cause i'm also one of those "my body must be a specific temperature to be comfortable and my feet being bare helps dictate this" neurodivergents.

TheKracken@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 204d

Hey look it's me.

wheezy@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 202d

Exactly. How am I supposed to stick out one foot from the blanket when I'm too hot if that foot already has its own dedicated blanket on it?

Also, sleeping bags are the work of the devil.

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world · 32 pts · 204d

Thanks, now I can feel my socks, asshole

crunchy@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 26 pts · 204d (1 reply)

Both. I have to wear slippers around the house.

SarahValentine@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 204d

Same TBH. I wear socks when society/weather demands it, but whenever i can it's bare feet and slides.

red_tomato@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 204d (1 reply)

I’m both. I hate socks, but I also hate the feeling of being bare feet. Plus in the winter months I hate having cold feet.

bigfish@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 9 pts · 204d

Ah you're a slipper bitch like me!

unemployedclaquer@sopuli.xyz · 15 pts · 204d (2 replies)

I didn't know anyone didn't care about the microscopic floor crumbs. Actually the worst is living with someone who doesn't care macroscopic floor crumbs.

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 4 pts · 204d

Your roommates are messy fucks who spill shit on the floor and don't clean it up, too, eh?

ruuster13@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 204d

This reminds me - I did okay at macroeconomics in college but was horrible at microeconomics.

whysteria@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 12 pts · 204d (3 replies)

my dedicated inside crocs will protect me from the microscopic floor crumbs

idiomaddict@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 204d (2 replies)

I like to double up on inside crocs and socks

essell@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 204d (1 reply)

But how do you fit the crocs and socks into the 2nd pair of crocs?

Are they a bigger size?

idiomaddict@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 204d

I just steal my husband’s for the outer pair.

…I’ve actually tried to do this at night when I’m not thinking

RubberDuck@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 10 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Second one all the way. Can't stand having bare feet

IronBird@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 203d

i can, but in my personal sanctuary where i know the floors are actually clean.

bunitor@lemmy.eco.br · 7 pts · 203d (1 reply)

second option, but i live in a tropical country so the thought having my feet covered by thick fabric all the time in the summer heat is unbearable. so i wear flip-flops instead

thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 202d

same

Uebercomplicated@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 203d

Both. Switches every hour. Sometimes they overlap :(

mavu@discuss.tchncs.de · 5 pts · 203d (2 replies)

I am living the good life because i found the solution: Socks that are not saussage shaped, but shaped like a actual human foot. No more toes getting pulled into an uncomfortable lump. No cold feet either. (this is a winter only problem. why would anyone wear socks in summer?)

you can get them here: plus12socks (not only for children)

ArsonButCute@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 203d (1 reply)

I've recently hopped on the barefoot shoe train and I think I'm gonna get some of these socks to go with them.

Thank you for commenting, these are way more aesthetically pleasing than those weird socks with the individual toe sleeves.

mavu@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 203d

and a LOT more comfortable. i'm truely very happy i found those.

Broadfern@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 204d

Both. Socks are repressive hell but a crumby floor is worse.

Happy medium is carpet indoors, and sandals outdoors. Alas, it is winter and the people around me think LVP was an upgrade from lush carpet 😭

funbreaker@piefed.social · 5 pts · 204d

The former but weather too cold to go barefoot full-time even in the house.

FenrirIII@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 203d

You don't wear socks because you hate the feel of the fabric.

I don't wear socks because I can grip and pick things up with my monkey toes.

We are not the same.

Twinklebreeze@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 203d (1 reply)

First one, then the other.

Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf · 3 pts · 203d

Makes sense when you have two feet.

mx_smith@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 204d (1 reply)

Socks half off so it just covers the front half of my foot.

EntirelyUnlovable@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 204d

Don't you ever say that again

Kattiydid@slrpnk.net · 4 pts · 204d

Robot vacuum daily helps lots. Lots of runner rugs that are machine washable helps too, floor bits get wiped off on rugs, floor and rugs get vacuumed daily, rugs get washed monthly, floor gets big vacuum-ed and mopped while rugs wash. Socks still stay on after shoes come off. Never socks without shoes though. No shoes day is no socks day. Also, it doesn't matter if the socks were literally on my feet for 30 seconds, if the socks come off they do not go back on. They are now dirty and go straight in the basket. Same with all clothing really. I have no idea how people wear pants or bras two days in a row let alone the "I never wash this article of clothing ever" crowd. Shudder what the fuck do you mean you don't wash something that you touch?! It's literally there to block dirt and absorb sweat, the fuck Is wrong with you sick fucks?!

Deeeep breaths goosfraba

Signtist@bookwyr.me · 4 pts · 203d

I really don't care, which seems to piss everyone off. If I need to run outside to grab the mail or something, I just do it. It doesn't matter if I'm barefoot in the snow, or wearing socks in the rain, it all warms up and dries out eventually. Shoes are a pain, though, and I only wear them if I'm actually leaving to go somewhere.

Digit@lemmy.wtf · 4 pts · 203d

socks and shoes at all times, because

floor here: zero second rule.

Brosplosion@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 203d

Both and either cause my feet are dead to me and get to live their own lives

ashughes@feddit.uk · 3 pts · 204d

I flip-flop

ruuster13@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 204d

Shoes and socks if and only if I'm outside for longer than a trip to the mailbox and if my toes so much as notice the corners of the socks, I drop everything and yank them off as quickly as I can untie a double knot, even if that leaves me barefoot in the dirt.

Sanctus@anarchist.nexus · 3 pts · 203d

I am a hobbit. I would never wear shoes if that was an option.

MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 204d

Cold feet.

chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 203d

The first one. Always sandals and crocks.

The only time I wear socks is when it gets below freezing temps and the cold floor feeling overwelms the foot suffocation feeling.

Pollo_Jack@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 202d

Cold feet society check in?

irotsoma@piefed.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Socks in winter because my body temperature regulation sucks, but they have to have good soft seams and be breathable. But no socks any other time. In fact I'd rather not wear any shoes or socks at any time if there wasn't broken glass, nails, hot asphalt, and such to deal with.

Jarix@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

From the movie Finding Forester.

MC - "Why are your socks on inside out?!"

Sean Connery's Character - "Shocks are poorly deshigned. They put the shtitching on the inshide where it hurtsh your toesh"

RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

Temperature dependant.

HurricaneLiz@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 202d

Socks at all times except the shower

Redacted@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 204d

One sock on one sock off. I am become ungovernable

SinningStromgald@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 204d (3 replies)

Socks and shoes unless I am in bed going to sleep.

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 204d (2 replies)

Then, just shoes

SinningStromgald@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 204d (1 reply)

Eww! Shoes and no socks? Heathen!

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 204d

in bed

ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

I'm a "socks whenever possible because my feet are always cold plus walking in socks makes you quieter" person.

DaddleDew@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 204d

Socks. And if I ever feel a single crumb through them I have to vacuum the entire house.

Jankatarch@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

No socks at all times.
If I am sleeping and it's cold, blanket covers it all except for the feet.

BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

The first one. Socks are porous and will attract and trap the filth against your skin.

Jarix@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

Socks are tryanny for my feet so I guess the first one for me

Routhinator@startrek.website · 2 pts · 203d

Always socks.

Akasazh@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 204d

I don't like any exposed skin in temperatures below 23 °C.

I'll wear sockless sandals or espadrilles when the temperature is over 28° C.

OldGrayDog@lemmynsfw.com · 2 pts · 203d

Not necessarily socks but something always on my feet except when I sleep.

sunbytes@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

"or"?

seabisquit@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 202d (1 reply)

Both. The answer is slippers

ladytaters@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 202d

This is the way.

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 1 pts · 204d (1 reply)

Socks and shoes actually do nothing from stopping me feeling the microscopic floor crumbs. 😬

Socks only when I'm sleeping or wearing shoes

Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 203d

I'm too lazy to fetch the socks from the drawer unless I need to go somewhere

M137@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 203d

I'm the third: I can't stop myself from picking at my socks and they inevitably get holes in them from that so I just don't wear socks.

ArsonButCute@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 203d

Socks and shoes because I'm a "Socks must be worn with shoes or I'll die" ND but also a "nothing can ever touch my feet or I'll explode" ND

My husband is the first and I’m at the ‘I learned to darn socks specifically to avoid that feeling’ level for the second. His ways disturb and frighten me.

TheGingerNut@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 203d

I like to know the floor dirt is there so I can scrub it off and know when its time to vaccume. No socks so I can feel my enemies presence and know when to act!

FuyuhikoDate@feddit.org · 1 pts · 204d

No pants neurodivergent...

resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 202d

Both? Slippers.

Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 204d

The first one, 100%. The only non-awesome thing about autumn is the fact that I have to start wearing socks again. :(

OldChicoAle@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 202d

Yes

FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 203d

I am 'no socks' except when the temperature dips into negatives, because I have these sweet slipper socks that make it possible for me to stay warm without turning the heater on.

ButteryMonkey@piefed.social · 1 pts · 202d

I don’t wear socks or shoes unless absolutely necessary. Sandals are fine, but if I can opt to not wear them, I do.

If I wear socks they are always knee socks. I can’t stand those little ankle high deals that leave a breeze up your pants leg.

Lexam@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 203d

Socks and my crocs!
