Funny story. I have a friend named Jimmy. Once he came back from a trip to the Amazon rainforest. About a week after while showering he felt something wiggling around back there. When he tried to grab it he felt the worm go back up into his body ಠ_ಠ
Calm down; you can always smoke them out. They never shut up about prescience (the ability to see the future) or Dune (worm propaganda), and they love eggs and bacon.
Raw beef is generally safe, not so much ground beef because it's so industrialized it's pieces of thousands of cows so the risk of bad shit is higher. Plus every part has been exposed to the air and surfaces and could be contaminated.
But you can eat beef raw. I've done it, venison too. We were all warned against doing so with pork, or obviously poultry.
Saw a YouTube video on it once. Tldr, the bad worms spread when an animal eats the meat of another infected animal. So, if you raise your pigs strictly vegetarian, they can't catch that type of worm.
Also very strict testing and procedures, of course.
It's a common fast food sold at butcher shops. Handling is not much different to sushi which you also wouldn't want to eat without proper refrigeration.
If it's not safe to eat in your country, your food hygiene laws are lacking.
Meh, raw beef tartare is just fine, it's just usually completely unseasoned (in contrast to Thüringer Mett, which is pre-seasoned), so you need to add salt etc. yourself. It's really good with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
