If it incentivizes people to clean up, I don't hate it as much as I did at first glance. Just won't think too hard about the shipping and other additional waste production involved.
Yeah fair play. Mad respect to the domestic and waste workers making the place looks half decent for everyone... but I can't really hate on a guy for tidying shit into bags and selling them to people with more money than sense.
If it makes that corner of the world look a bit nicer for humans and animals alike... I can't hate on it.
Jesus, people are so desperate for celebrity validation they're actually buying their goddamn rubbish now? What next, someone's gonna auction off Bieber's used condoms?
At least it would have been in contact with him and contain something previously of him in it. This stuff is garbage from an event that they likely never even got close to. It's only one step removed from someone in the same Manhattan apartment building selling their trash as from the same building Taylor lives in (presuming she has a Manhattan apartment, I don't know). Now, I don't care. Fool and his money and all that.
It's too bad she's a billionaire POS. If there's one person that could trigger the revolution, it might be her. She just has to say the word. These people would follow.
She didn't push hard enough. Her support was "y'all should go out and vote." That statement only indirectly helped Harris because her fans are probably more left leaning.
Maybe she doesn't really care and is actually benefiting from Trump. Maybe she only put in the bare minimum of effort for appearances as a PR move and didn't really want Harris to win. Maybe I would be willing to have given her the benefit of the doubt if we didn't have to shame her into reducing her private jet usage.
I never really cared enough to look beyond the marketing for Taylor Swift, so my opinion was pretty much "Whatever, she seems nice enough", but having a wedding in MSG at all is seriously off-putting.
That's not an invitation to list everything bad about her. I still don't care.
I'd agree, but the bags weren't what was sold - it was a plastic cube with something like a cubic inch of trash inside. There's a pic elsewhere in the thread.
Man I hate to have to agree with this because it's just so loathsome, but weddings always have like personalized tchotchkes on the table and shit and if you manage to snag one of those in your $25 bag you'd probably get a thousand dollars for it on ebay.
But "from the edge of a love story" is odd wording. I really would think such bigtime celebrities would see to it that their trash was removed themselves for exactly this reason and that this isn't just random garbage from nearby dumpsters.
I really would think such bigtime celebrities would see to it that their trash was removed
I was thinking about that, but what are they supposed to do? Pay for secret cremation? That sounds even worse.
This is obviously the result of one person in the removal chain, far enough removed to go unnoticed, thinking they can make some money out of it.
Is it celebrity worship or celebrity speculation? Like, who are the buyers? Actual dead-end fans? Or people who think they can flip the trash down the line?
I don't know why my first thought was that it is a mine of information and privacy issue. Who knows what kind of bill, letter, contract, medical report, drug you could find there.
You said ew, which implies disgust. I mean, I would hope I don't have to spell out why saying "ew" to a couple who you think look too different from one another is a problem.
