It would stop my nation for weeks and there'd be massive reform that everyone would get behind. The entire population would make sure it should never happens again.
The numbness about school shooting is one of the big things that convinced me to leave. I was never that good at being an American anyway, at least we have an excuse to suck at being Brits
I am over 500 years old and I have never once in my life seen someone dangle a pendant from the bottom of their t-shirt like that. Is this some new fetishwear that I'm not furry enough to know about?
Hello 500-year-old Eldritch being. I am a furry with almost 20 years in the community. This has nothing to do with us and everything to do with artificial intelligence. Sloppification. If you were wondering, yes they do browse e621 and other websites and vacuum up the data from them.
I don't have a problem with the sentiment behind this picture. I don't even have a problem with the AI art style. But don't people critically examine their work before using it?
How hard would it have been to tell the AI "Hey, please remove the extra hand on the wolf's shoulder? It doesn't belong there." Isn't that a thing you can do?
The main problem with AI slop isn't that it's slop, it's that so many people think the raw slop is acceptable without any refinement.
But that will take time. We need to get this to the Facebook pages before then next disaster. We don't want to be the third most relevent school shooting in the algorithm. /S
Once they have that much care and thought, then they probably would have the thought of asking the art teacher or art students to do something vaguely meaningful.
Considering that its left hand (right side from the viewers' perspective) has a thumb on the side turned inwards, away from us, it stands to reason that the other hand would have one as well, on the opposite side facing us. But the paw on the shoulder doesn't have one. So that's a second left paw.
I suspect it's holding a dismembered wolf's left arm with the right, behind its back and reaching up, which would also help make it feel more like someone else's paw.
I'm pretty sure that putting a dismembered arm on your shoulder is a bit odd.
What is it about AI characters and their facial expression that bother me? Is it because they try to use them in very complex context but can't convey anything more than an emoji? There's this creepy feeling like their eyes stare into the void.
I'm going to unironically say this is a skill issue with the prompt engineering.
Like you can imagine this is just some stupid prompt like "Characters A to F look very very sad at the bulldog crying on teh floor" or something like it. Like nothing that describes or shows how fucked up this situation is or some variety. It's like "licked clean" of any kind of nuance. It makes you feel as empty as the heart of the one who generated it.
Compare that to some better AI slop (music video) that just goes in the other direction and throws the weirdness that AI can generate and then tries to form that into some kind of cohesive thing. Like you can hate it but the editor who assembled this layered it into something more complex, even though the individual scenes are pretty random and slop. At least the lyrics are (I think) human written.
Now imagine OP images with this kind of gusto about mascots reacting to a school shootings. Obviously it's much less fun if it's about anything serious.
I've been hearing AI radio commercials more and more lately and while they don't actually sound bad for annoying commercials I wonder what all of those voice actors will do now...

I'm not sure what you expect school districts to do about gun control.

That wolf has a spare hand on his shoulder.

That's less disturbing than the otter who appears to be holding a cut off arm to comfort the bulldog. Perhaps he's offering it as a snack?
And the woodpecker is kinda into the whole deal? Why is he smiling?

The NRA clearly values guns more than human life. This is some seriously fucked-up sick agenda.
