Somebody explain to me how some bloated, out of shape clown who needs bifocals is going to be expected to wrestle someone to the ground??? Where did they get these guys, retired dudes from the local day-drinking hole?
Literally ANYONE (white) that signs up, gets a gun and free license to terrorize the community. (plus a $50k signing bonus if I remember right, not gonna bother looking it up)
Remember the mealteam six on some kind of electric scooter that they "deployed" during I-don't-remember-which Trump insanity? I think they never figured out whether it was some kind of agency, or just organised Trump fans, but how did they find a whole group of fat people with the same kind of scooter?
Edit: might have been segways, now that some memory comes back
Aside from the egregious gun fumble, he's clearly out of shape and completely winded after standing up. His "tough guy" stance looks more like someone who's afraid and can't keep their cool, so they try to look intimidating. It comes off as reckless endangerment of everyone in his proximity.
In my opinion, probably the worst one is I assume his finger is on the trigger. I don't see it, so unless it's missing that's the only place I think it could be. Maybe its really high and above the barrel. Idk.
I see a lot of comments dismissing the nuanced difference between a magazine and a clip, and I agree that from a linguistic perspective it doesn't matter...
But it may be relevant here. A clip is used to load a magazine. In the case of the M1 Garand and the new Kel-Tek PR57, the clips are used to load an internal (integral) magazine. This gun uses conventional magazines, and the magazine can be dropped (the ICE agent in the video must have pressed the magazine release button while scrambling for his weapon) while there is still a round in the chamber.
TL;DR he was probably waving around a loaded gun at those people.
One time I was in Walmart and asked if they sold gun magazines, and the guy said "they're up at the front of the store", which I thought was weird. He was talking about printed magazines. I was talking about metal things that hold bullets.
After that I just say "clip" even knowing it's not technically correct.
More info: there was a time when Walmart sold all kinds of gun stuff. I don't know if they do anymore. I used to buy 500 .22 long rifle bullets for $15.
They still do, at least in Kentucky. That's where I picked up a case for my first dulcimer. Dulcimers and rifles have similar dimensions, and I needed something quick to protect my new instrument on a long drive home.
AFAIK the only time the doctrine changed (from carrying with a round in the chamber) was after the P320 debacle. I heard some police departments started carrying with an unloaded chamber if they couldn't switch to something else.
It's ultimately up to the officer, and there's no way for me to know, but I get the feeling this guy was running with the +1
I like the second guy in the background who is pointing his gun at the guy's leg. It is good that ICE hires the mentally handicapped, but lets not give them guns.
Mag button is placed above the usual firing grip to be intentional, my guess is he was so eager to draw down he squeezed the whole handle. Incompetent and shouldn’t be carrying, absolutely but..there’s one in the chamber and a gun is always loaded.
Honestly, I don't blame these people. I was once brainwashed as well (1x Bush Sr, 2x Bush jr) so I understand what he is going through.
They really do think they are the good guys and view everyone else to be lesser than him. And that's why a normal conversation with these people usually snaps them back to reality.
Also, even if the magazine is out, there is still one live in the chamber and can still hurt someone.
I came to the comments to say this exact thing. This is actually a leading cause of negligent discharge incidents. People eject the magazine and assume the gun is unloaded, completely forgetting about the round in the chamber. There’s a reason soldiers are trained to actually look into the chamber.
I remembered being stupid at 18 and owning my first handgun. I was too young and stupid back then and almost got banned from the shooting range because I was shooting sideways like a "gangsta".
There was a off duty LEO that was there that day and offered me some quick lessons on how to handle a gun. It was the best firearms training I have ever had.
That’s just obviously an error by someone untrained in close combat
why was the gun not in his holster? He even looked for it
why was the suspect almost able to grab the gun? Could have let to the victim killing 3+ officers
He clearly panicked, wanted to be in possession of the gun at all cost. This caused him to involuntarily pointing the gun at civilians. Involuntarily, because of the way you have to hold the gun while on ground. The error was him wanting to hold the gun in the hand, instead of getting to his knees first, while holding the gun down to the ground with one hand.
You can clearly see that they are physically out of shape and now have to wear a vest + equipment.
The best part is the guy behind him pointing his gun at his ass. This is gun safety 101, but I realize they weren't required to do any training on gun safety
Violent, angry, bald, insecure, racist falls down when trying to beat down and kidnap a fully grown adult with the help of two other men, gets violent, angry, bald, insecure, and racist and immediately threatens the lives of witnesses with further extreme armed dangerous incompetence.
I would bet on them being such cowards they never would cock their guns because they are not ready to kill another person. Why else would the brownshirts always point their guns at people? They don't understand what a firearm actually is.
One of the definitions of clip from Merriam-Webster is literally: "a magazine from which ammunition is fed into the chamber of a firearm", so you no longer need to make a distinction between clip and magazine because only gun nerds actually give a shit. English is fluid, we understood what OP meant.
It's about as esoteric a difference as some cars taking diesel and some taking gasoline. Most people know both exist and what they're for, I don't know if I'd call that expertise but I suppose it's slightly above novice. Maybe general gun awareness? In either case your point stands, not everyone can be assumed to be even generally gun aware.
I'll be that guy. If I know someone's car takes diesel and I hear them talk about putting gas in it, I'm gonna make sure they mean diesel. Putting diesel in a gas car is a good way to waste a tank of fuel. Putting gas in a diesel car is a good way to waste a diesel engine.
My read on the whole thing is there is a group of us who are just sick of hearing, because we don't care, it's immaterial.
It's been 20 years people have been beating that into our heads. When I came into this comment section, I was literally looking for this particular squabble and I was surprised to have not found it but here we are eventually.
It's one of the most irritating aktchewallys because it will not seem to go away.
Everyone calls the magazine a clip. Right out of the dictionary
a device to hold cartridges for charging the magazines of some rifles
also : a magazine from which ammunition is fed into the chamber of a firearm
so seems both meanings are correct.
Yeah I know it’s pedantic and I’m not a gun nut by any stretch. But here’s an example. If you were to call a trackball a mouse. They functionally do the same thing and most people would realize what you were talking about in context. But to a computer nerd, they are not the same thing.
These chuckle-fucks are not qualified by any stretch of the word. No self respecting person that has actually had gun training would act like this. It’s stupid, unsafe, unprofessional, and just makes them look like idiots which I’m guessing most are. So if you want to make fun of them and be effective to the gun nuts, it helps to use the appropriate terminology. And we need the gun nuts to realize how dangerous and unprofessional these gravy seals are.
Thats all I was trying to convey. Sorry if I came off like an asshole. I wasn’t trying to be.
I saw this video... He didn't even pick the clip up. He stands up and points it at everyone, then continues to stand for five or more minutes with the clip still not in.

Focusing on the person is missing the point. This is someone who is not properly trained for their job or for the use of firearms and this will happen repeatedly until we raise that standard.
I'm guessing that at school he never had people wanting to copy his homework. A very rude and indeed judgemental guess I know, but I really and vexed by the ongoing stupidity.
It's probably like me when kid guns had a safety by your thumb, and then I tried some bodies (unloaded) gun later in life and that button dropped the mag out. LOL. Like Toy manufacturers back then went for ease of design and not accurate replication for teaching kids firearms skills :/
