Well I just finished binging a season of Ted Lasso and the last game I played was Balatro.
I don't believe it! After an abysmal first half, Richmond will be walking away with a win today, scoring 1,780,560 points in the final minute of the game! That secures their position and they'll be going on to play Man City in the next blind, where goalies will be debuffed!
There actually might be no war at all, because some things make warfare between these two species that much more difficult.
Behind the spoiler are details from Project Hail Mary, so if you're planning on reading/watching it yourself, best not to look there.
::: spoiler Spoilers
There is a massive difference between Earth's and Erid's atmosphere requiring so much preparation and war engineering from either party
That said, Rocky was able to make a sort of a spacesuit that worked extremely well, at least in the Hail Mary spaceship's atmosphere (which wasn't 1:1 earthlike, I believe)
That suit was made out of Xenonite, which is a substance Earth cannot compete with, probably making damn good armor
Earth has little to nothing to survive Eridian atmosphere in warfare circumstances: no material or tech that can be used for a spacesuit here, certainly not in the amounts for planetary combat, especially given the air supply that would be required
Either side's troops seem so fragile in the enemy condition and so unconquerable on their own turf.
Honestly, Earth and Erid could make formidable allies more than anything, because a war between the two would be very stalemate-y attrition-type deal.

Or the entire Spire would be the story the uncles are telling Walt, from their perspective having experienced it in their younger days. Then Walt follows in their footsteps and after he completes the third run, they find The Heart hidden away in the barn cellar, instead of piles of cash, and they all go down to fight it but Jasmine comes to save them from certain death.
Then Walt's mother comes back with a CPS worker and they take him away, and arrest the uncles for child endangerment. Roll credits.
Rouge Trader von Volancius returning back in time over and over again to the same dining hall to pick a team that can stop a sentient AI from emerging and enslaving Humankind Empire in virtual reality.
Actually, this looks like a valid Warhammer 40k plot.
The God of Cookery and, uh, The Witcher. Hmm, well, the main character (in God of Cookery) does turn out to be an incarnated deity (the kitchen god), and that does track with stories about Geralt's exploits, so perhaps someone tried to hire him to go after Chow (instead of the assassin in the film?) and of course Geralt finds that there's no good reason and maybe even helps him, although Chow doesn't need the help (he gets plenty from his other new friends). Now I'm thinking about Geralt encountering the 18 Brass Monks of Shaolin Monastery trying to get Chow out so he can get to the cooking competition on time lol. I guess the best way to explain how Geralt ended up in 1990's Hong Kong is teleportation accident.
Alternatively, Chow in the world of the Witcher... I don't think that would be quite as entertaining. I would prefer to put Geralt in the world of The God of Cookery.
Spider-Man and Greg Tech New Horizons. Peter has to spend hundreds of hours mining resources and elaborate yak shaving in order to set up the processing chains necessary for his web fluid.
What a great question. Lastly movie i watched was Tolkien - a biopic focusing on his experience as an orphan, his schooling, his university, and his experience in the battle of the somme.
Last video game I played was The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian, a text-based choose-your-own-adventure RPG chronicling the course of a character's life.
They work together very well. It would be a choose-your-own-adventure as Tolkien.
Oooh, Hadestown and BG3! It would be so good! Like AC Odyssey but with more focus on the Gods and less on the wars, with more DND mechanics. I’m so down for that.
Great, now the bacteria monsters have revealed that they actually have a generational vendetta against the still lives, and neither side remembers how to not commit war crimes.
I am caught in the middle, trying to uncover a conspiracy my parents were involved in, except my APC never fricking arrives because the world keeps expanding, and the road signs are nonsense.
At least I get cool medieval weaponry to defend myself with and a drone buddy to keep me company as I keep driving down these yellow wallpapered highways under a Red Sun.
Fellowship of the Ring and Cyberpunk 2077. I think Saruman and his industrialization of the Forest of Fangorn could make for some nice tie-ins to cyberpunk's story.
Project Zomboid and The Long Walk. I feel like the crossover would be pretty seamless. The contest could be played, the movie could be re-enacted on a multiplayer server, with a couple of mods that already exist currently.
The Odyssey and Space Station 14 would be a hell of a mix.
I suppose turn space into ocean and spaceships into boats, and the space station everyone's working on (or working against) is just a small city or something
Reworking all the guns into bows and arrows and such would be a lot of work but doable
amusingly there's a new medeival fantasy fork of ss14 that's been getting a lot of attention, could probably just fork that and tweak it to be ancient Greek vibes
That actually would be interesting. It sounds like a potential Squirrel with a gun 2 lmao A squirrel attacking a ghost village who stole its acorn or something
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle and Moonlighter. That would actually be pretty dope. Just diving into endless castle dungeons killing demons, and then selling their drops in your quaint little merchant shop.
Uhhh splatoon raiders and Imagine Me and You (a lesbian romcom)… Lena Heady grabs a Squiffer and starts taking out hordes of salmonids? Yeah, I’d watch it.
Or maybe a lesbian romcom between agent 3 and the mechanic in London. Also pretty fantastic.
Get Him To The Greek and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 + Sonic & Knuckles...
Racing through London, New York, Vegas, and LA levels in 2D as the rounder version of Jonah Hill who can somehow Spindash while Russell Brand keeps getting in your way, much like the cpu-controlled tails always does anyway. Lots of drug-based powerups that wear off after throwing up on yourself. Also picturing P-diddy as Dr. Robotnik for some reason. What a weird fucking movie. Had never seen it and was blown away when I realized it was essentially the sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
In this crossover you will play as Katherine Lester, who is pestered by an unending army of in-laws. She defends herself with poisonous mushrooms, a fireplace poke, a shotgun to shoot the horses and a pillow to smother the children with. Health can be regenerated by hopping in bed with workman Sebastian, but he's not easy to find.
Project Hail Mary, and Iron Nest.. My gigantic artillery platform is now in space, being used to fire canisters of Taumoeba at the stars. Dieselpunk Kerbal Space Program, flinging artillery shells the size of small cars to save the galaxy.
Elden Ring and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead". That's... interesting. Elden Ring is very self serious, so I don't know what happens when you add in semi self aware satire.
Death of Robin Hood and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
If they would be more honest with how many people Kiryu would have killed thus far in reality, it honestly wouldn't be too far out there of a crossover.
2001: A Space Odyssey and HITMAN: World of Assassination. Well HITMAN already has a 2001 reference so I suppose it only makes sense, but I guess ICA contracts in outer space? Might be pretty interesting, or might be Moonraker: The Game/Movie depending on how they handle it. I’d definitely play/watch it though.
Grim Dawn x The Odyssey. Honestly aside from the addition of guns in ancient Greece times and the Gods is basically magic usage, it would probably not be too odd. I'd play it
Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Edition and Backrooms. The universe basically writes itself as the settings are so similar. Might be a bit of a struggle to get the tone right!
The Wizard's away team murdering their way through an island populated with speaking animals in support of rebels trying to throw off the yoke of the polar bear cartel.
Genshin x Odyssey... I was about to write would be fun seeing someone trying to get home while facing the gods of Tyevat... Than I remembered: 'hey, that's just the plot of Genshin!' I guess I wouldn't mind pulling for Odysrus as special 5 star.
"7 Days To Die" in the world of "Avatar: The Way of Water" would probably be a pretty good mix. Not sure, how feasible it is to create Pandora POIs with the voxel system - but I would like to see them genuinely try.
The last game I played was FrostPunk and last movie I watched was Frozen… so probably about the same except the FP folks would start singing tunes or the Frozen peasants would be much darker.
Minecraft and... Im not even sure what the last movie I watched was.. I think either the minecraft movie (ironically) or the green book. Im going with the green book cause that's infinitely funnier
Im imagining a villager pianist going down though the overworld playing, and seeing all the other villagers in trading halls or iron farms etc.
Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson stranded on a remote island after their plane crashes, they must climb above the rising fog to signal to rescuers. Many hijinks, maybe some kung fu against skeletons, Owen saying "wow" while tripping on shrooms, fun for the whole PG13 family.

Game: Vampire survivors
In this crossover you will play as Katherine Lester, who is pestered by an unending army of in-laws. She defends herself with poisonous mushrooms, a fireplace poke, a shotgun to shoot the horses and a pillow to smother the children with. Health can be regenerated by hopping in bed with workman Sebastian, but he's not easy to find.

Burglin Gnomes and Tomb Raider (2001) may have some valid crossover and the gnomes would be greatlt improved by huge conical boobs

Disney's The Sword in the Stone and Battlefield 6. Arthur gained x-caliber shotgun or something?

That might be... interesting.

Valheim and Odyssey - I'm actually more or less recreating the "OH SHIT RUN FOR THE BOATS" scene every time I go aground in the plains.

Death of Robin Hood and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
If they would be more honest with how many people Kiryu would have killed thus far in reality, it honestly wouldn't be too far out there of a crossover.

Dota 2 and masters of the universe. He-Man is probably Russian and will either absolutely carry us or feed the enemy team beyond belief.

FFVI and Nancy Drew, Detective? I don’t think 1938 Nancy would be very fond of the FFVI world.

I'd play it

"7 Days To Die" in the world of "Avatar: The Way of Water" would probably be a pretty good mix. Not sure, how feasible it is to create Pandora POIs with the voxel system - but I would like to see them genuinely try.
