It comes as no surprise to me at least. In recent years we've been hearing how these manosphere and right wing guys are funded by right wing oligarchs. I mean the basic production values are top notch. It can't be explained simply by the widespread availability of professional film making equipment. Which is the explanation I hear often. You can pick a random content creator with no audience who has somehow procured expensive equipment yet they won't be able to reach the same level of quailty because they don't know what they're doing. Plus they don't have the money to buy production staff to run everything for them. That in itself gives a false sense of capability behind the characters.

modern psychology doesn't identify attraction to children as related to normal human sexuality like other sexual attractions, it's outside that aspect of human behavior, and also not all child sexual abuse is related to attraction often it's a rapist picking a ideal target.

Simply remove them from harming anyone else. You don't have any jurisdiction for anything further but to keep yourself safe.
When they are behind bars: you're safe. Nothing further should be required for you. It's a safety concern and nothing further as far as you are concerned.
You only have to keep your own judgements for your own morals. Not theirs. Engaging or celebrating in torture is not looking after your own morals regardless of how you justify it.

‘Work’ in the sense that they better match my speed of comprehension and the rhythm of life to which I'm used. The same way as films from the eighties are often quite slow, e.g. watching Bill Murray take half a minute to walk across the room in ‘Where the Buffalo Roam’ was too much.
In the podcast app I'm using, I have speed setting for every subscription set to an optimal value, depending on the host/guests and the density of material.
Previously I've also tried higher speed like 1.3, but found that I can't remember the content afterwards.

Idk, I like natural flow just fine, it's just that some people talk slowly compared to others (to e.g. James Duane or Cory Doctorow). I can't imagine removing every pause from a talk — or rather, I've seen videos that are edited that way, and it's quite jarring.
In fact, I'd prefer if audiobooks had more pauses in appropriate places, namely between chapters. I need a bit of time to file what I just heard under ‘a section ended’ without going into another one without a break.

Eh, YMMV. The apps Overcast and Pocket Casts seem to make it work just fine so much so that I don't really even notice it once I turn it on for a given podcast. At least with an app, it's you with the power to change it, or turn it off/on, and you can decide which podcast(s) to turn it on for and how much it does.
I think I know what you mean for certain videos...I hate it when some people use that "clipped" style when the video jumps, often for some kind of comic effect or to emphasize some point - I'm sure it has a name, but holy shit is it something I cannot unsee and I've been seeing it for so many years now. It seems so many Youtubers do it, especially if they trend younger. It is one of the most overdone effects ever - to the point that I bet sometime down the line, it will be mocked like the star-wipe effect is a joke from video editing software from the 80s....
It reminds me of that style that radio uses a lot, where something is said, than it's repeated again with an echo effect, and I've been hearing it since the 90s. I'm sure that has a name, too, but hearing these things is like the Wilhelm Scream - once you hear it, you'll hear it over and over and over....

Not comic really, it's just all the “uhhh”s and “ummm”s cut out along with pauses that are deemed too long. Basically a way to one-shot the filming process by doing lots of editing. I definitely notice the editing when watching the video, idk for sure if I'd hear it just by the audio.

I wish I could find an example of what I'm talking about.
I think some is done more for "engagement" and editing for time and trying to game the YT algorithm (sigh) and like you said, removing the sneezes, coughs, uhhs and ums and doing it rather inartfully since it's mostly a disposable format.
I'm talking about a certain style of presentation that seems intentionally done where sentence fragments are kind of chopped together where one word barely or doesn't even end, and another begins.
What's worse is I've heard Gen Z and alpha sometimes try to imitate this style in everyday speech and if people think vocal fry is annoying, holy fuck, this is 1000x vocal fry.

Yes, he screwed that up. I am aware of the issue and my info is in there. Whether it was intentional or not, I think Andrew made a mistake through ignorance (either that it was wrong or that he’d get caught) and he seems to be mostly owning up to it. I’d like to think he did not have ill intentions, so in light of the superlative work he and his team do I’ll let that one slide for now and move on. It doesn't trivialize, or even speak on, who this guy raped. If you believe all conversation should be about the victim, that is one thing. Although some victims might not want their trauma the center of conversation.

I don't see how their comment would be described as any of these. Perhaps one could read the joke as listing "rape" as a some simple, necessary credential for politics and, in doing so, trivializing rape.
However, the subject of the joke isn't the rape nor the victim, but the rapist Clavicular and the administration, referencing how many of the current administration have sexual assault accusations against them. The joke doesn't downsize what he did or apologize for it.
I am genuinely not seeing how that bolsters or perpetuates rape culture.

I wouldn't bother. This person is likely foaming-at-the-mouth levels of angry and unwell, and appears to be having an argument with themselves that they've plucked out of thin air.
I would bet they simply misinterpreted things and thought this was a "ha ha rapist will be raped" thing. But that's what happens when you go through life with conclusions and work backwards....you get it wrong a lot.
Has happened to me too. But typically one doesn't double, triple and quadruple down.

i doubt he really did this, what he probably is doing is doing plastic surgery, or worst JAW surgery. his fans are taking it too seriously, alot of them are considering JAW surgery to make them "look" better. i seen them post a couple times that jawsugery sub, very delusional. they were being told they dint have any problem at all. the people who need it, had health reasons to do so. jaw surgery is very INVASIVE and has alot of potential complications. jay leno is known for his prognathic jaw, he dint get the surgery because the recovery/complicaitons is usually not worth it. i was actually surprised how many men bought into his LOoksmaxxing stick.
i think young women has thier own looksmaxxing thing going on for a similar reason.

You know, Facial Feminization Surgery (a type of gender affirming surgery) is not that different, it's just done under medical supervision. Someone should tell him that's an option
In true gender affirming surgery fashion though, he should be required to get a psych screening, at least two therapist letters, insurance pre-approval, a letter of recommendation from his primary of at least 1 year, an endocrinologist letter, his SAT scores, and have a bank loan before he's even considered for it

All the raising awareness about mental health in 2010s and it fell to deaf ears. I am a guy and I agree whatt they say about men, we'll do anything but go to therapy.
A person doesn't even have to admit going to therapy, just go to one. I'm aware it's not possible for many due to financial constraints, but for those who could afford, what's their excuse?

i happened upon the jaw surgery sub(i have a prognathic jaw so i was curious), and there are people this delusional, thier dysmorphia, believes that after watching clav/looksmaxxing tiktoks, they think thier "facial features" need some Surgery to "fix" it. the people in the sub, said the people need therapy, because thier jaws are perfectly normal, even better than average in some cases. they cant connect how serious a jaw surgery is, let alone you need do alot of pre-op work on your jaw. and they would even use "terms" that no normal person but professionals use.

Make young men insecure about their looks, and feel isolated.
Sell them a “solution” you know full well is snake oil bullshit. Not just for profit, but to intentionally set them up for failure.
When they fail, have them do two things. First, point at an outside influence to deflect blame. Usually this is women as a demographic. Then, tell them the only acceptance they’ll find is within the in-group (cult), and that srsly we promise it’ll work just keep trying.

So now you have your volatile base to perform your will, AND a huge chunk of the (usually systemically underemployed) working class is refusing to cooperate with their peers which prevents organization against oligarchs/other oppressive interests.

i have a prognathic jaw so i got the curiosity of visitng the jaw surgery community,(subs) and there are people that DELUSIonal. they are basically assuming thier jaws are all "misaligned or thier face looks wierd" when people in the sub who actually had/need it, said there is nothing wrong with them. at least 1 of them actually went abroad from the UK, to TURKEY and got a sketchy surgeon to do the surgery, and of course it was botched. they never say they have actual health issues.(they bypass actual surgeon consults in thier own countries by the way, which would deny them go ahead).
bonesmashing is a little more benign than actual surgery, which is more complex and invasive.

I don't get the following these guys get and never have. Remember Tucker Max, the I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell guy? I worked with some guys who were all about him. I borrowed his book from one of them and didn't get it at all. There were a couple of funny bits, but that was it and he got a fucking movie deal off of it. After the movie he kinda disappeared and I figured that was the end of this kind of douchebag. Boy, was I wrong.
The only thing I ever learned from that idiot is that confidence goes a long way, but as far as I know that dude never got married and is likely miserable these days.

from reading her account of things, he was never interested in attracting a partner, just putting someone he could victimize in position he could control them in. didn't work out. If her story is correct, which is pretty easy to believe, he followed the same steps a lot of rapists do, and likely seeks out being an influencer to gain easier access to victims. He said he'd help her develop as an influencer by doing 4 streams together, paid her for her appearance, and pressured her to drink and instructed her to lie about it. then when she was drunk, asleep, he raped her, and afterwords treated her coldly and got her an uber, this is all a very established pattern a lot of rapists follow.

"bottommaxxing," is referring to male rape in prison. This person is using the looksmaxing language to make a joke about Clavicular getting raped in prison, because they think it's funny that people get raped in prison. They're making that joke under an article that describes the experiences of a young woman who was apparently raped by Clavicular, so they though this would be a good setting to make that joke because they did not even consider if it would be bad to undermine the severity of sexual violence for their funny haha joke about how the right people deserve to get raped.

Too many vindictive people out there conflate revenge and spite with justice. And to be fair, a case like this has no justice. The best you can do is lock the fucker up so he cannot harm anybody else, and do what u can to help the victim recover.

I do think it is interesting that your response to this was more in empathy with the rapists than it was the undermining the severity of sexual violence and ridiculing victims, and then went on to not even consider what the victim would want as justice.
No, people don't deserve to get raped, but it is important to remember that they aren't, this joke references the fact that rape happens in prison, not about whether it ought to be a punishment; I made the addition that it was for "the right people," because I know that's how they'd try to defend it. The real problem is, yes, that this belittles sexual violence and therefore trivializes the harm done to the victims; which is why men use jokes like this and why they think about the rapists before they do the victims.
